It's been a struggle to find his parents but I think at long last I have them. I have figured out that Margaret Peggy Clark, dau. of John Clark who came with Samuel Holland, is her father. I just made this discovery a couple of weeks ago so I'm still looking for Peggy's husband Ebenezer Ward. From previous research I know they were m. 1792 in Tryon. I think Ebenezer could be a brother of Thomas Turner Warde who m. Susannah Holland, dau. of Samuel.
